The papers contain the manuscript, revised edition of the fourth chapter, two pages of the typed version, and pocket memorandum book for "The Chevalier of Pensieri Vani"; the unpublished original manuscripts for the travel book "Oliver's Outing" and the play "The Color-Line" composed for Elizabeth Wallace with lyrics by Roswell Field and music by Allen Spencer; a short story "An Hour on Earth"; and a manuscript fragment of "The White Swan," a play written at age 9. Five letters thank James Russell Lowell for his praise of "Chevalier" and remark on a possible second edition; thank H.H. Boyesen for a favorable review of "The Cliff Dwellers" and suggest that a Chicagoan continue the work; note that "The Puppet-booth" will be published soon; submit a manuscript on American art to the Century Company; and thank William Morton Payne for his mention of "The Last Refuge." There is also a photograph of Fuller.
